1. Build up my health
I need to get back to going to the gym again - both to build up my health and to lose the weight that has been steadily creeping up on me. Is it because my metabolism has drastically slowed down after the magic 30?
I have examined my schedule and I am only able to make an hour probably 3 times a week from 9 to 10pm on the weekdays and maybe one weekend slot. It does sound rather late but its either the late night slot or its the wee early daytime slot from 6 to 7am - which is really tough for me now that its winter. The warm bedcovers are just too hard to leave behind.
2. Moisturize more diligently
I'm hopeless with beauty regiments. Even with simple things like slapping on face creams, dehairing and other similar beauty tasks seem mundane to me. It doesn't help when I am normally too tired to go that extra mile. So for this month, I want to get into a habit of just taking that extra 5 minutes in the bathroom - and maybe make it a habit.
3. Start baking and cooking again
I've got a great nanny....wait...cross that out, make that a super nanny who is able to help me execute any recipe that I find. This month, I want to find some time (and space) to just get back into the cooking and baking mode again. Before nanny came to Shanghai ie. pre baby, Himself and I used to potter a lot in the kitchen, especially on the weekends. We both find it very therapeutic and we love to experiment with foods and flavors. I will like to try at least 2 new recipes this month.
4. Conduct a mini-Sunday school lesson for Rebecca
We've tried going to the Sunday School here at the HengShan Community Church but found that it was not suitable for Rebecca. Yet I feel really burdened to get her into some formal biblical learning especially now she is more like a sponge than ever. I've come across some great resources and its just now a matter of getting my act together to execute the lesson.
So for the month of December, I will like to have a mini 30 min lesson with Rebecca every Sunday and teach her 1 memory verse a week.
5. Schedule a date with Himself
We don't get to spend enough time with each other and I've always thought that we should have more date nights. So this month, I'll like to have a meal alone with Himself at least every other week, especially since kiddo and I will be travelling home for the long period between Christmas and Chinese New Year this year. Eeks too long!
