A review of One Fifth Avenue

I am done with this book yesterday and I must say, I do like it, though it will probably take a while before I re-read it again as some of the subplots carry a heavy tone to it. The writing is very "Bushnell" style and the world that she describes so well in detail can be very easily imagined, even while reading this from Sunny Singapore.

I love the hint of old glam New York and having lived and worked there, it was lovely to take a trip down memory lane and recall the various places that were mentioned.

The book cleverly weaves the lives of the various characters through meetings and occurences and its interesting how one character noted that life in an apartment complex is interwined, that we can't help but interact with each other.

Given how a large number of us live in apartments, is that always true?
